Just take the "DSO Mini Update" folder you'll get in the zip and place it in the "Customization" folder under the "Darkstar One" folder in your Documents folder (the location should be something like "C:\Users\Username\Documents\Ascaron Entertainment\Darkstar One\Customization").

The forum post is in German, but as the mod just changes values you can install it without any problems.
With the mod you get to rank up to 30, for example. It changes a number of features in the game for the better IMO.
